"homicide" doesn't mean murder - just that the death could have been prevented. I wouldn't want to be one of Jacko's many doctors. An American tragedy, ranking right up there with the early (and eerily similar) death of Elvis Presley.

Dr. Conrad Murray told investigators that he had administered an intravenous drip of 50 milligrams of propofol, an anesthetic, to Mr. Jackson nightly for six weeks before the singer’s death. Other drugs were also found in Jackson's system

Definition
Homicide does not mean that the death could have been prevented. It means that the death was the result of someone else's actions. If it was intentional, it's murder; if not, it's manslaughter. In either case, the responsible person will, more than likely, have to be held accountable in a court of law.
